Frequently asked questions

What are the system requirements?

Task Timer Pro requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later and runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Where is my data stored?

All of your timers and entries are stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's sandboxed container. Nothing is sent anywhere — there's no account and no server involved.

Can I export my time entries?

Not yet. Your Today and Week views show exactly how time breaks down by task, but there's no CSV or file export at the moment. If that would help your workflow, let us know — it's on our radar for a future update.

I forgot to start a timer. Can I correct the time?

Yes. Open the task's edit screen (click the task) and adjust "Time logged today" — it backfills or trims today's logged time to whatever total you set. This only corrects today's running total for that task, not individual past entries.

Can I use Task Timer Pro on more than one Mac?

Yes. Your Mac App Store purchase covers every Mac signed in with your Apple Account. Each Mac keeps its own local timers — there's no sync between them yet.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases go through the Mac App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app isn't working, email us first — we would much rather fix it.

The app isn't showing in my menu bar.

macOS hides menu bar items when the bar runs out of room, especially on laptops with a notch. Try quitting an app or two, or use a menu bar manager to reveal hidden items. If it still doesn't appear, email us and we'll help track it down.
